About Tourism Bwindi

Tourism Bwindi is an independent editorial guide to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and its neighbouring communities in Uganda. Our starting point is simple: the forest has more to tell.

A forest with several chapters

Gorilla visits are an important part of many journeys here, but a guide can also make room for canopy, understory, birds, named conservation work and the practical decisions around a stay. Our articles connect those subjects without promising a particular encounter.

Sources and scope

We use the Uganda Wildlife Authority for park context, UNESCO for the World Heritage setting, and named organisations for descriptions of their own work. Links appear near the relevant discussion. Current permits, availability, prices and travel requirements should be checked with the responsible authority or provider.

These are researched editorial guides, not claims that we personally joined every activity, interviewed every person or stayed at every property mentioned. A credited photograph is an illustration of its documented place and subject, not evidence of an unreported visit.

People and photography
